How we compare casinos

A more detailed walkthrough of the editorial method behind the homepage scores, with a longer note on each brand currently featured.

The shortlist

We deliberately keep the homepage shortlist small. Long lists of operators are tiring to read and they push reviews towards the same generic praise. Six brands fit on a page, can be held to a consistent checklist and can be revisited often enough to stay current.

What goes into the shortlist

  • UK Gambling Commission licence on the operator’s own footer.
  • Reasonably mature product – not a brand that launched last week.
  • Bonus terms a regular reader can finish without giving up.
  • Working safer-play tools inside the account, not just on a marketing page.

What does not move the score

Affiliate commission rates, the size of an operator’s ad spend and how often a brand appears in industry awards do not feed into the score. They are useful background, not evidence about how the casino actually behaves with a real account.

How often we revisit

We revisit each brand at least once per quarter. Bonus terms, payment options and responsible-gambling tools change quickly, so older reviews are flagged for refresh as soon as the operator updates anything material.

Brand-by-brand notes

Editorial summary for each casino currently featured on the homepage.

BetVictor

betvictor.com · Editorial score 8.4/10

The slots and live tables are organised in plain categories, terms link to a dedicated bonus rules section, and the casino sits inside a wider sportsbook account if you also bet on football or racing.

What stands out: Long-running British operator with a tidy casino lobby and clear withdrawal pages.

  • Ring-fenced player balances
  • Deposit limit and time-out tools in account
  • Customer service 24/7 via live chat

Payments note: Withdrawal page lists processing windows up front. Bonus availability and wagering requirements are set by the operator and may change at short notice.

Sky Vegas

skyvegas.com · Editorial score 8.7/10

Sky Vegas keeps its bonus terms on the same page as the offer banner, which is unusual and welcome. The lobby filters work cleanly, and account verification documents can be uploaded inside the dashboard rather than over email.

What stands out: Sister product to the wider Sky group with a lobby focused on slots and jackpot games.

  • Reality check timers built into gameplay
  • Self-exclusion handled in account settings
  • Slot RTP information published per game

Payments note: Withdrawals reviewed within 24 hours on most methods. Bonus availability and wagering requirements are set by the operator and may change at short notice.

Kwiff

kwiff.com · Editorial score 7.9/10

The casino tab is lighter than at the larger brands, but navigation is uncluttered and bonus terms are short enough to read without scrolling. Useful if you prefer a less crowded lobby.

What stands out: Smaller UK-facing brand with a stripped-back interface and an emphasis on its randomised price boost.

  • Loss limits across casino and sports
  • Cooling-off periods configurable in app
  • Plain-language responsible gambling page

Payments note: Faster Payments withdrawals listed on cashier page. Bonus availability and wagering requirements are set by the operator and may change at short notice.

Jackpot Star

jackpotstar.com · Editorial score 8.1/10

The cross-product layout takes a moment to learn, but bingo regulars will recognise the format. Bonus wagering is published per offer and the help centre answers common KYC questions in clear English.

What stands out: Bingo-led brand with a side casino product and slots from a familiar mix of studios.

  • Identity checks completed before first withdrawal
  • Single deposit limit covers bingo and casino
  • Players can request loss-history statements

Payments note: PayPal withdrawals usually clear within a working day. Bonus availability and wagering requirements are set by the operator and may change at short notice.

Casumo

casumo.com · Editorial score 8.2/10

Casumo balances slots, table games and live dealer tabs without overloading the homepage. Bonus terms are written in short sentences and the responsible gambling section is linked from the main menu rather than buried in a footer.

What stands out: Recognisable UK casino brand with a wide slot catalogue and a tidy live-dealer floor.

  • Per-session deposit limit prompts
  • Cool-off and self-exclusion via account
  • Game search supports studio filtering

Payments note: Trustly cash-outs typically settle the same day. Bonus availability and wagering requirements are set by the operator and may change at short notice.

Midnite

midnite.com · Editorial score 7.7/10

The casino lobby is smaller than at established brands, but pages load quickly and the operator publishes a clear set of fairness and KYC notes. A reasonable option if you want a single account for casino games and esports markets.

What stands out: Newer UK-facing operator known for esports markets with a casino product alongside.

  • Single sign-on for casino and esports
  • Deposit limits set during onboarding
  • Help centre covers verification step by step

Payments note: Open Banking withdrawals supported on most accounts. Bonus availability and wagering requirements are set by the operator and may change at short notice.
