Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data we collect on crestmarkcompare.co.uk, why we collect it and what your rights are under UK data protection law.

Who is responsible for your data

Crestmark Compare is the data controller for personal information collected on this site. You can reach the editorial team at editors@crestmarkcompare.co.uk.

What we collect

  • Contact form submissions – name, email and the message you choose to send us.
  • Aggregated analytics – anonymised information about which pages and casino comparisons readers find useful.
  • Affiliate referrals – when you click an outbound operator link, the destination operator may record your visit using their own tracking. We see only aggregated commission reports.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for your address, payment details, identity documents, gambling history, casino account credentials or any information that would allow us to act on your behalf at a casino. We do not sell reader data.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies as described on the cookie policy page. Non-essential cookies are loaded only after you accept them in the on-site banner.

Lawful basis

  • Contact form: consent and legitimate interest in replying to your enquiry.
  • Analytics and affiliate measurement: legitimate interest in understanding site performance.
  • Marketing or non-essential cookies: consent via the cookie banner.

How long we keep data

Contact emails are kept for up to 24 months unless a longer retention is needed for a specific factual correction. Aggregated analytics are retained in a non-identifying form.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, ask for it to be deleted, object to processing or withdraw your consent. To exercise any of these rights, write to editors@crestmarkcompare.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Updates to this policy

We may revise this policy if our practices change. The current version applies as of May 2026.
